Material & construction

Frame: RHS 50x25x1.5 mild steel; sashes: SHS 25x25x1.5; grille: Square bar 12 (square grid) welded to frame. Glazing: 5 mm clear (Essential/Select) / 6.38 mm laminated (Modern).

Steel sliding window – 2 panels on rollers in a hollow-section frame. Frame size = opening − 10 mm. Sash clearance 2–3 mm. Grille openings ≤ 125 mm. Tolerances: size ±2 mm, diagonals ≤ 2 mm. Coating per tier (see Tier Guide).

Hardware & consumables

Rollers, guides, latch, brush strip. Nylon/steel sash rollers (2 per sash); 10 × 10 bottom guide rail; top guide channel; brush strip; slide latch. Glazing putty or glazing silicone, setting blocks, glazing clips. Welding consumables (MIG wire ER70S-6 0.8–1.0 mm + CO₂/Ar gas, or E6013 electrodes 2.5/3.2 mm); grinding & flap discs (80/120 grit); cutting discs; degreaser/thinner; primer and finish coats per tier; hole caps/end plugs for hollow sections; masonry lugs (25 × 3 flat, fish-tailed) or M10 sleeve/chemical anchors; cement-sand mortar or sealant for building-in; packers.
