Five ways to stop your site waiting for materials
Practical delivery planning for contractors and home builders around Nairobi.
On small projects, most delays come from materials and approvals, not workmanship. Welders waiting for valves or masons waiting for cement are paid to stand still. A little planning removes most of that waste.
- Make a call-off schedule: list each material with the date it must be on site, not the date you will order it.
- Order long-lead items first: pumps, valves, special glass and imported fittings.
- Group deliveries by route to cut trips and fuel.
- Check weight before booking. A 1.25 t truck carries about 25 bags of cement or a set of steel windows, not both plus the gate.
- Ask for a signed delivery note and photo, so short deliveries are caught on the day.
Our load planner shows whether your items fit one trip, and our logistics team can deliver along the Thika Road corridor and across Nairobi.
